Scholars Search Skill Development Academy was started in 2007 to provide guidance and direction to the rural needy youth of Vidarbha.

We realized that any institution is always looking for the best candidates who will work according to the aims of the institution and add value to its work. However, rural youth always lose a chance of entering into a good institution because of their lack of exposure and skills. This is a major disadvantage for rural youth.

As an organization Search Foundation has taken nearly 10,000 interviews of qualified youths. We observed that many candidates lacked basic soft and hard skills because of which, even after being qualified, they couldn’t earn a good job for themselves. We found this lead to their frustration and disappointment. We believe this leads to various social problems amongst which the biggest is qualified yet unemployed youth.

We believe skilled youth is an asset to a country. In India, which is the biggest country with the highest number of youth, lack of skills in youth is a big impediment for the country’s GDP growth.

So, as a proactive organization Search Foundation decided to provide different much-needed skills to the youths to make them self-reliant. To provide these training and provide opportunities to the rural youth of Vidarbha Scholars Search Skill Development Academy was started.

As a part of this program, we started Scholars Search Polytechnic at Korpana, district: Chandrapur (M.H.) in 2007. With a vision to impart quality education for village scholars, our aim was to provide technical and management education to the tribal and village students. Search Foundation took the initiative & founded Scholars Search Polytechnic at Korpana where it was really needed.

Scholars Search Polytechnic at Korpana was recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra (Vide GR.No.Higher Technical Education Dept. Permission 2007/(69/07)/Tech.-Edu.-6, Mantralaya Mumbai, Dt-10th Aug. 2007) and approved by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), M.H.., Mumbai (No. 10/NPG/Perm./2007/340 Dated-21 Aug. 2007) & Affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) Mumbai.

We used to offer the following Courses as Diploma & Advance Diploma Programs for 10th passed or any graduate students.

1. 1. DIPLOMA IN DRESS DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING (DDDM) – 2 yr
2. ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN EXECUTIVE BUSINESS STUDIES (ADEB) – 1 yr
3. ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN FRONT OFFICE MANAGEMENT & TOURISM (ADFM) – 1yr

We also started Scholars Search College of Management, Korpana recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra (Vide G.R. No. Higher Technical Education Dept. Permission 2009/ (336/09) Tech. Edu.-5, Mantralaya Mumbai, Dated-15th Jul. 2009.) And Approved by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), MH. Mumbai & Affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai. SSCM was the first management Studies College established at Korpana, district: Chandrapur (M.H.) in 2009.

We used to offer the following courses in SSCM, Korpana

1. ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (ADBA) – 2yr
2. ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SCIENCES (ADBQ) – 2yr

Scholars Search Polytechnic and Scholars Search College of Management, Korpana was successfully run till 2015. Later we closed the above courses due to inadequate government policies. However, without any government recognition also we continue with our aim by providing soft skills and management skills training to needy youth through Search Foundation to make them self-reliant and confident.
